Emergency stop

This belly thing changed a bit yesterday (Wednesday). Instead of going every once in a while but spending 15-30 minutes on the pot, I was going practically every hour but having to spend five minutes or less on the pot. Improvement? You decide!

I dragged Lucky Starr: Book One out of the car and started reading through it again for stylistic impressions. I did some miscellanous BF stuff. Around 2:00 I went out and ran errands for Carrie: I stopped by Ever After to pick up some postcards for the upcoming jewelry show (on the 8th), then I went to the Proctor post office to get postcard stamps for 'em. On the way back home I had to make an emergency stop at The Rosewood to use the facilities. Being tired of going in frequent tiny portions, I sat there for a good 20 minutes while I drained myself dry. Take that!

I apologize if this post is more, um, gross than usual.

I saw carrie for a couple of minutes after work, then she went to Jenny McMakin's place to address the postcards and do jewelry (except she didn't get any jewelry done). There was much talk of Jenny organizing shows for the three of them, which is good talk, because shows equal moneys. In the evening I watched more Teen Titans and then worked on BF cookie stuff, then watched Angel. Carrie came home and we went right to bed.

Quite the distance

Yesterday (Tuesday) I met Brandy at Starbucks before she had to go to work. I don't drink coffee, so I had a tall hot chocolate. I was a little shaky on my feet so I drove the three blocks instead of walking. Sigh. Anyway, I gave her the 2nd of her birthday presents (exactly one week late), which was a set of "Wicked & Willing" refrigerator magnets. It was nice just hanging out for an hour outside of the house.

The rest of the day I worked a little bit on BF stuff (adding a search engine) and finally did some work on ANGRY BEEF stuff as well. I gots to remember to start putting those up again. It's hard when you're sick! Carrie had a split shift, so came home and then left almost immediately with Christine to go to The Wedding Bell to pick out her dress in which she's gonna stand next to me. She was successful. This weekend she's gonna take our moms to look at it as well. More on that this weekend.

We napped a little in the afternoon. After she went back to class the weather went absolutely crazy with wind and rain and sun at the same time (see the picture in the "Dramatic Sky" entry below). I tried watching a little bit of Alphaville but I wasn't really in the right frame of mind for that, so instead I came in here and wrote some of my novel. Yeah, well, I wasn't really in the right frame of mind for that, either. I need to read some Lucky Starr stuff before I get to writing. Maybe I'll read one of them this afternoon.

Carrie called me on the way home and asked me to start some macaroni and cheese. I sure wish I could eat that as well. But instead I made myself some egg noodles and sprinkled them with some soy sauce and at them up. Once again I had trouble sleeping until well after 2:00 a.m.

I am feeling a little bit better, but it still seems like a long climb back to the top. I fell quite the distance.

Dramatic Sky

The weather this evening has been kind of crazy. Even though the sun has been shining brightly, the wind has been roaring, shaking trees and rattling windows. I just stepped into the living room and looked out the window at the sun streaming in, and noticed that it was pouring down rain at the same time that the sun was pounding down. I went to the backyard and took this dramatic photo at around 7:00 p.m.

I think the almost-black sky in the background and yet the sun-drenched tree and house in the foreground is incredibly beautiful. I love weather like this. Because I get to be inside.

Relapse/Recovery

Weekend update: On Friday evening I was actually feeling up to being a little social. Carrie & I went over to the Goukers for a little barbeque with some of their other friends for dinner. Then afterwards we went to The Parkway and met up with Linnea & JC, and Dylan and Christine were also there. I'd never really actually hung out with Linnea before (outside of the store); it was a lot of fun. We played shuffleboard (the sandy kind) and I played three rounds of video golf because someone had left some money in the machine.

Saturday I completely broke down. I don't know what exactly happened, but it weren't good. I felt horrible. I bled horribly. It was quite possibly the worst I had felt since this flare began. I was s'posed to take pictures of birthday parties for the party brochure I was working on for the BF, but instead I just went by the store and showed Leilani how to use the camera and left it there. I skipped Fools Play (which is weird to do when you're just sitting at home). I also skipped practice the next day, although Ed called me and let me know what was going on. I felt no better on Sunday than I did on Saturday.

Monday morning, however, seemed miraculous. Oh, I was still bleeding and whatnot, but I actually had energy (shaky limbed though it was) and I felt good. And had an appetite. Pretty crazy. I worked a lot on BF stuff, and went by the store to pick up my camera at one point. Carrie barbequed me some liver to try to get back some of that blood I've been losing. Gary came by in the evening for rasslin' (the highlight of which was HHH getting his ass kicked by Tajiri), but he kept on falling asleep so went home early. My phone rang like four or five times during the evening as well.

Here's to hoping that this is actually the beginning of recovery, and not some sort of fluke.

The less said, the better!!

The less said about this last week, the better!! Let me just say that I've been much like a useless sack of a stinky brown substance. All I've been able to do is lie on the couch or bleed on the toilet, or leave incoherent, rambling messages on my friends' cell phones (sorry about that).

Instead of all of that unpleasantness, I just want to remind you that it's now less than two weeks until my birthday! If you haven't gotten me anything yet, you should definitely check out my Amazon Wish List and get me some of that stuff. Sort it by priority to see what I really want.

Peace out.

They just wanna. They just wanna.

When I woke up yesterday (Monday) morning I heard Gary's voice and thought, "Didn't he ever go home last night?" Well, yes, he did, but he also called in sick on Monday morning and came over to take Mary out to breakfast. It was indeed Mary's last day staying with us, which is too bad because I really liked having her around.

I again spent the first entire half of the day in bed or on the couch. In the late afternoon I was actually able to go to the computer and do a small little project for Diamond. Took all of an hour, but it's nice to keep working. I ate a lot of ramen as it seemed to be the only thing I could stomach. Ramen for lunch and ramen for dinner. I think my watch is starting to be a little loose on me (which ain't a good thang).

It was raining so I drove down to The Babe Factory to pick up Carrie after work. Gary came by again in the evening to watch Rasslin'. We also watched a half-hour or so of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. If you haven't seen it, I don't know whether to recommend it or not. It depends on how iron your stomach is. After rasslin' it was straight to bed for this boy. Well, straight to the bathroom and then to bed, and then I got hungry so Carrie made me a waffle, then I couldn't sleep until after 3:00 a.m.

Anyway, today is Brandy's ACTUAL birthday, so I'd like to wish her a very happy birthday even though she kinda already celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. Happy Birthday, Brandy! Them girls, they just wanna...

Bedridden

I was basically bedridden (or couchridden if you prefer) all day yesterday. I didn't get out of bed (except for potty breaks) until around noon, and that was only to move to the couch. Carrie put on Princess Mononoke for me while I rested, but it started skipping during the last act, which really, really suxored. Carrie & Mary put on Ghost World later in the afternoon and fell asleep watching it. They were gonna go to Michael's and buy fun art stuff and have a craft day, but instead they slept.

Gary came over for more barbeque in the evening. Shishkabobs. I didn't eat those things called vegetables, but I got some meat down. It was a fun hangout time with the rhyming gang (as I like to call them). After dinner Gary & Carrie went and got ice cream at 31 Flavors, then I started flaring up something horrible while My So-Called Life was on. So Carrie & I went to bed while Gary & Mary stayed up. I wish my name rhymed with theirs. If only my name were Harry or Larry or Barry.

Last picture show

Yesterday (Saturday) Gary, Brandy, and I saw a noon showing of Kill Bill: Volume 2. Brandy came and picked me up 'cause Carrie was out using the Toyota and I didn't want to use the crappy Ford to drive over to Gary's to pick him up. The first thing she sees when she sees me is, "You don't look very good." Tell me something I don't know.

Anyway, the movie was freakin' spectacular and I didn't have to flee to the restroom during it or anything. Brandy dropped us off back here and then Gary drove his car home. I was gonna spend the afternoon showering and getting ready for Fools Play and all, but instead I had an attack and basically passed out on the loveseat in the office. I had to have Gary bring over his iron so I could make my custom shirt for Mike T's present. Gary et all worked on getting the new Barbeque up and running for the first time.

I was an hour late to Fools Play, and I had forgotten to buy cake and plates and forks etc. Hey, did you know that Safeway doesn't sell cakes? Neither did I. I had to go up to the Thriftway east of downtown Oly to get a cake.

Anyway, Mike T's last show was great and spectacular and everywhere you wanna be. The Vaudevillains finally got back to their villain roots. It was a great, great time. Carrie, Gary, and Mary (how's that for a rhyming group of people?) all came down for it and all said it was very goot. Carrie talked to Taisha about David's Bridal stuff, because if she's gonna give money to that place it might as well be to someone we like.

After the show I really wanted to go to Red Robin with everybody, but I was so freakin' sick that Carrie just drove me straight home and Gary drove Mary back here. We stopped and bought sodas at Jack in the Box on the way back; they stopped and bought beer and Cider on the way back.

We all stayed up for another hour or so, but I has having some of the worst flaring ever, so I had a really horrifying night. Carrie was absolutely amazing, though. I'd like to give a shout-out to her now: "Yo."

The -slash- party

Friday Mary showed me pictures of her Africa trip on her gigantic and awe-inspiring laptop that makes me unbelievably jealous. It was fun. At 6:00 we met with our would-be caterer to hash out some of the details of what we would need for the wedding. The guy was nice and all but he would not stop talking, and he would say the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over no matter how many times we said we had decided on things. By the end Carrie was getting really cranky.

Gary came over shortly thereafter and we drove up to Espinoza for the last-ever Espinoza -slash- Mike T's birthday -slash- Mike T's Farewell party. It was a goodly deal of fun, even though Sandy got hard drunk and dropped out of the party rather quickly. I had to go to the bathroom towards the end and then couldn't make it up the stairs, so I laid down on Geoff's bed for like a half hour or so while Brandy took care of me, bless her.

Anyway, I was finally able to get up with her help and I crawled up the stairs. I obviously wasn't feeling up to driving home, so Gary did the honors. There was lots of construction so it took freakin' forever to get back to I-5 the way we went. We ended up going from Ballard all the way down to SafeCo before we could get back on. We saw fun things like a cop pulling his gun on three pedestrians and making them lie face down on the sidewalk while we were waiting for a red light.

We went to Gary's place and I let him out, and then I continued driving my car home to my place (where Gary's car still was), where I ended up getting back only a few minutes after Cary & Mary got home from hanging out at Carrie Clausen's place. So we all had a fun night out. Mine was just a bit more painful than theirs (probably).

And the hits just keep on a-comin'

Hi, I'm back. My belly has been absolutely killing me the last few days, so I haven't been able to do too very much. Except sleep on the couch. And then have trouble sleeping at night due to pain. Ah, well. Wednesday night Neighbor Gary came over and I rented Kill Bill on account of he hadn't seen it yet and the second volume comes out this weekend. He thought it was pretty much bloody brilliant.

Yesterday (Thursday) was very sexciting because Carrie's good friend Mary McEwan came to stay with us for a few days, back from Africa and escaping Bellingham. We had a fun conversation about what exactly is wrong with the city of Bellingham, and partially came to the conclusion that the people who live there wish they lived somewhere else, but they're ashamed of that desire and so overcompensate with this desperate attempt to prove that Bellingham is the best possible place ever! Anyway, in the afternoon Carrie & Mary went wedding dress shopping (and to Fred Meyer), and I got an embarrassed call from Neighbor Gary. Seems he locked his keys in his car at work. Could I come get him and drive him back to the apartment so he could pick up his spare there? Sure, no problems. My belly was feeling pretty a-ok at that point. And it wasn't raining, so I could drive the crappy Ford with its broken wipers.

Comcast is out near the Flying J in Fife, but it's really hard to actually get to. Very deceptive roads there. I drove past it a couple of times before I figured out how to actually get to it—I could see it off in the distance the whole time, though. Anyway, when we got back to the apartment it turns out they changed the outer lock since we moved out so my old key no longer worked. Gary had to bang on Chris Husted's window and then wait for him to put on pants and come open the door. My key still worked in Gary's lock, though, so we were able to get in there. He played me some Charles Manson songs (great voice—kind of a Johnny Mathis vibe) and then I drove him back to Fife and followed him back to T-town.

The ford is getting pretty funny. If you go around a corner at more than five miles an hour it starts screeching out like you're Jerry the race car driver. I did that behind Gary and he stuck his hand out the window like this: \m/

Carrie made a yummy pasta for dinner, and after a trip to the bathroom I was actually able to eat all of it right down despite the nausea. I jumped in the shower after dinner and then Brandy called and wanted to go shopping for Mike T's presents. She knew what she was getting him (if she could find it) but I didn't have much of an idea. She found what she was looking for on the first try, which was pretty amazing. I never did find anything to get him, but we ended up walking up and down pretty much the whole mall, going in clothes stores so Brandy could drool over stuff she couldn't afford.

Afterwards we were gonna go to Target to look some more, but then I got my great idea and so instead she took me to her apartment where she showed me the prints she made in her Photography class at TCC. She admitted that they were a little too dark—detail was lost in some parts. After looking at her shelf of DVDs and admitting that I still hadn't seen Bend it Like Beckham we settled down to watch it. I had no idea it was such a long movie. Well, it felt longer than it was probably because she had to pause it for like 30-45 minutes in the middle while I had a severe belly attack. Ugh. These meds could start working any time now and I really wouldn't mind. Honest. Anyway, at some point while we were watching the second half of the flick after I had recovered enough so that my eyes would actually focus, I heard this soft kind of honking noise, and I look over and Brandy is sound asleep, lightly snoring. So when the movie ended I was all ready to pat her on the head, say goodnight, and drive home. Then I remembered that I hadn't driven there in the first place. So I had to wake her up so she could drive me back home.

The dishwasher had broken earlier in the day (which suxors), so when I came home I found the two ladies already there washing the dishes that I was supposed to wash. I didn't know BiLB was such a long movie! I was able to put many clean clothes away and clean the bathroom floor and whatnot before I had another attack, and then that was pretty much all she wrote for me.

Any day now, meds. Honest. I won't mind.

It was the num-nummos

Yesterday (Sunday) was, of course, Easter. I was having a devil of a morning (these super meds could kick in at any time; I really wouldn't mind). I had hoped to get work done, but instead I just lounged around in pain. Funtimes! In the afternoon I drove Carrie over to her folks' and then proceeded to mine own folks', where Susan and Mike and Rachel and Ma and Pa were already there. I brought over a couple of GameCube controllers and my memory card so as we could all play Mario Kart together. And we did. But not before dying eggs! Each of us four kids dyed three eggs, except Mike & I each dyed an egg for Rachel that said something vaguely offensive on it.

Then it was time for the Mario Kart. We played the three of us on versus mode, selecting random tracks. Mike has this habit of doing really well up until the last four or five seconds of a race, at which time he gets hit with a blue shell or something like that and ends up losing. It happened a lot.

Dinner was two types of lasagna, white with mushums and red with turkey sausage. Both was the num-nummos. After dinner Mike & I played Mario Kart on cooperative mode, which neither of us had done very much of before. It's actually really fun, and we discovered that there are several awesome turns you can cut that you could never cut if you were playing one player. I was usually the driver and Mike was usually the gunner (if I had an item I'd just pass it back to him; it was funny to see Birdo juggling three red shells).

Carrie's dad brought her home (with a brand new barbeque grill!!!!) so I didn't have to swing by there on my way back at 8:00 at night. I just headed straight home to her. Home movies wasn't on at its usual time, which sucked der ass.

The crowd went nuts

Saturday in the A.M. Carrie & I went garage sale-ing. I actually found some cool stuff, including a Gremlins II mug and a J.P. Patches (and Gertrude) t-shirt. I believe there was also a trip to the bank somewhere around in there.

Saturday evening was FPRL's April Cruel's Day. Man-o-man it was a fun show. It was also completley packed. It was a little sloppier than usual (especially with the transitions between stuff), but the matches were actually all really good. I was in three out of four, and "won" all three I was in. The fans created a new tag team, "Sweet & Low" for me and Geoff. I'm Sweet, the giant effeminate bodybuilder, and Geoff is Low, the tiny monkey-like angry freakjob. The crowd actually went nuts when Dirty Heel won the championship from The Great Inverter.

I was lucky in that I didn't have a flare during the show. I purposefully went twice before the show to kind of empty myself out. Afterwards I had the distinct feeling that I probably shouldn't drive home right away, so I went with everybody to Red Robin, where, indeed, I had to spend around 25 minutes on a toilet. Sandy laughed at me because she said I looked like a guy she knew who faked erections. When I got back to the table I couldn't even lift my water glass to drink. I had to bend over and sup out of the straw. Afterwards I got to drive Brandy back to her car at 321, and that helped steady my nerves. "See, I think I'm less shakey now."

Not much work done

Yesterday (Friday) Carrie didn't have to work until 2:30 in the afternoon. In the morning we went to Michael's (the store, not my brother's place) because we had some coupons and they were also having a sale. While Carrie went in there, I went next door to Ross (the store, not that guy from Friends) to return the bathing suits we got in Santa Fe that we never ended up using. There was absolutely no problem, which very much impressed me. Usually there's some hassle associated with returns, especially if you bought the merchandise in another state. But it went very smoothly, and I gots the 40-some dollars put back on my card, which felt good.

Carrie bought some papeir-mache boxes and a cool wood scrapbook cover that she can decorate how she wants to give as a gift. She made sammitches for lunch, and then a while later we walked down to Starbuck's. I have to say, I was barely able to make the trip back in time. Whoo! That was a close one.

Anyway, Carrie went off and taught Stringing Materials to the new girls at the BF while I lounged around and basically did nothing. I watched most of that awful Reign of Fire movie, but I missed the first 15 minutes or so, so I can't really say I've seen it all. I'm somehow thankful for that. Carrie called and said she was on her way home for dinner, so I cooked up some pork chops and zuccini (I baked the pork chops in a covered bakeware dish with only pepper as seasoning, then I fried up the zuccini in butter with salt, garlic powder, bacon bits, and just a tiny dash of maple syrup). I garnished everything with a couple of sprigs of chives and a thing of parsely so it looked like an Iron Chef meal. We ate outside on the front porch while Fantastico wandered around out there with us, turning her head sideways and sticking it between the boards of the porch railing and rolling around on the path (instant back scratcher).

After dinner Carrie went to teach Stringing Techniques again. I meant to get some work done in the evening, but Brini Maxwell was on, and I'd never actually seen her before. Holy crap that show is an experience. It's hard to tell whether or not anything in it is a joke or if it's all serious or what. It's crazy. Like watching... well, there is no real comparison that I can think of.

After Brini there was that show about Nick in the city, New York Nick, and it had an awesome idea on it: Spiking a watermellon. Cut a small hole a few inches deep in the top of a watermellon, then upend a bottle of vodka into the hole and let it soak overnight. Come the morning, the watermellon will have absorbed all of the vodka throughout itself, and it'll be like eating solid chunks of vodka.

Anyway, after that Cartoon Network started showing episodes 11-15 of Clone Wars, so I watched them. It's very interesting to see them back to back like that instead of spread out over a series of days. At 9:00 they showed episodes 16-20, so I watched those, too. I hadn't seen but one of those. The end fight between Darth and that sith chick is freaking incredible, where Darth gets more and more angry and more and more unstoppable. Great stuff. And when he's walking through a cave and there's water dripping from the ceiling, and the splashes sound suspiciously like Darth's breathing mask. Vunderbar.

A while after that I actually got up off my ass and wrote an Article. I know, it surprised me as well. Nice to know I'm getting back into the habit of doing this website. Now if I could only get it through my head that I actually need to write reviews of the movies I see...

Yup. Out of the blue I just threw together a short Article. I think I wanna do it that way kinda from now on, just make short articles instead of the epics that I was writing. Maybe every couple weeks, like The Best Page in the Universe does.

I vant to syuck yoor blood !

Yesterday (Thursday) I had to get up plenty early in order to go up to Federal Way and see my gut doctor. He gave me the meds to stop the bleeding and whatnot. We also scheduled a bone density scan for Monday. It was pretty routine by this time. I was starving afterwards so I hopped up to Marlene's and said hi to Mathias and bought some potato salad. I stopped by Fred Meyer's on the way home to deposit that check from Lisa, then swung by Bartell's for to get the meds. The meds themselves only cost like $0.64! I also bought a toothbrush and a water bottle for Carrie.

Carrie had a split shift, so she came home and we made sammitches. My belly was pretty bad so I was kinda off my feet for much of the afternoon, but Carrie sat out on the front porch. Later on I went out there also and all three of us lounged around in the sun. Three? Yes, three: Me, Carrie, and Fantastico.

Yes, Fantastico wandered outside with us and explored the porch and rolled around on the front pathway. And rolled and rolled and rolled.

Carrie had a class that evening so I worked on her handout for the rest of the afternoon. My printer ran out of black ink so I couldn't print the handout out, so I exported them as JPEGs and burned them on a CD, then went down with Carrie to the BF to pring them out there. It worked, but it resized them a little bit. Weird. Then I went home, showered, and headed off to Brandy's where Sandy & Mathias also were. It was nice, 'cause I hadn't seen them in a while. Well, okay, I'd seen Mathias that morning, but I hadn't seen Sandy in a while.

Brandy put on the original 1931 Dracula on account of me having never actually seen it all the way through before. Yes, that's right. I, a movie geek, had never seen Dracula. I've seen Frankenstein (and Bride of- and Son of-). But I'd never seen Dracula. Well, now I have. Unfortunately Brandy had to pause the flick at one point while I had a Belly attack. Then later in the evening when I was about to go home I had another belly attack and had to bleed in her toilet for a while. Thank god I didn't leave just a few minutes earlier, or that would have happened while I was in the car! This attack was so bad that I had to go back and sit on the bed with her for another 45 minutes before I was okay to drive. I could barely walk to the bed. Geoff got me a glass of water and my hand was shaking so bad I had trouble drinking it. Yikes! While I recovered Brandy showed me her "Idea Book" thing where she rips out pages of stuff she likes from magazines. She had a couple pages just of Salma Hayek, of course (Brandy has good taste). They also showed me a couple of scenes from The Impostors, which I've never seen all the way through either, much to their chagrin.

Eventually I was able to come home into the loving arms of Carrie, and we went basically right to bed. Don't feel bad for me; it was actually a very fun evening, except for the excruciating pain (which I'm kinda used to).

Me and my bloody belly

Yesterday (Wednesday) my bloody belly was giving me hell, so Carrie advised that I take it easy for the day. For the most part I did. I went to the Bead Factory around noon to meet with Viki about re-designing their whole bead parties brochure. Shouldn't be too difficultish. I took Carrie home with me for her lunch, then she walked back and I lounged and played video games and dinked around on this here internet like a good convalescent should.

I walked down to the BF at 5:00 so I could walk home with Carrie. It was a nice day—not too hot at all. When we got home we went and picked up photos from Bartell's and then went shopping to the Fred Meyer with a bucket full of coupons that ended up saving us about $20 or so. Not bad for a $1.50 sunday paper. After that we swung by Lisa's place to pick up a check for $73 that she owed Carrie. I swear to god, Lisa looks younger and more beautiful every time we see her. We gots home and Neighbor Gary called to see if Carrie was up for guitar lessons that evening. We invited him over for dinner as well. Carrie made a stroganoff type deal thingy using tomatoes that Gary had canned in the fall. Very tasty. Tasty fish. Except with beef.

Carrie was planning on making bread with dinner but she forgot that she had put them in the oven, so all of a sudden all this smoke started billowing out and setting off the smoke alarms. We had to open every door and window in the house and stand under the alarms with magazines, fanning the smoke away. Dinner was good after that, though.

Afterwards Gary gave Carrie a nice, long guitar lesson. I don't know exactly what it is, but seeing Carrie curled up on the couch with a guitar in her lap, singing Bonnie Rait and Frente songs, was incredibly sexy. After Gary left we played Mario Kart and then we did some wedding registry online. It was pretty fun. One of the most exciting things about getting married is that we'll get all these gifts from peoples! Awesome!

Oh, I also put Carrie in the most recent ANGRY BEEF Sighting. Always wanted to do that.

Buy me stuff !

Hey, I forgot to mention it yesterday, but yesterday (Tuesday) was exactly one month before my 27th birthday. To mark this occasion you all should visit my Amazon.com wishlist and buy me stuff from it. NOW!! (You can always just click the button on the right side of my page there. It'll be up all month). I suggest you sort my wishlist by "Priority (high to low)" so you'll get me what I really want.

ANYWAY... Let's see if'n I can remember what went down yesterday (Tuesday). I finished Carrie's taxes. She had a split shift, and so when she got home I printed them out and had her sign them and whatnot. In the afternoon I went to the postal office to mail them away (and buy stamps), and since it's tax time the lines were pretty long. Actually now that I think about it, I think it was just a cooincidence that the lines were so long, because most everybody else there was mailing off a package of some kind.

Anyway, we napped on the couch for a while in the afternoon, too. I can't remember if that was before or after the postal office. In the late afternoon I got a sudden craving to shave and take a shower, so I did both (I didn't completely shave the beard, though, don't worry). Carrie went back to work. My plans for the evening fell through, so I just lounged around the house. Watched some Mythbusters. An E! special on The Rock. I didn't really feel like doing anything. I was like, "I could do this... nah. Maybe I should... nah. How about... nah." So in effect I didn't really do anything except dishes. The kitchen's looking pretty good if I do say so myself.

In other words, I was plenty bored with just me and my painful belly.

By the time Carrie got home it was plenty late. She was hungry and so made some food, and then we went to bed.

A photograph of taxes

Yesterday (Monday) I did taxes. All the live-long day, practically. I was using TurboTax, which I don't like very much because it doesn't really let you go in and change little things. You kind of have to go through the entire interview process until you can change one line, and it doesn't tell you exactly which line you're changing ever. Annoying! I didn't even quite finish them, but it looks like Carrie will get almost $1,000 back, which is good because I might have to pay around $200.

Carrie got a $50 refund check from the power company, so I went to the bank in the afternoon and deposited it for her. Then I came home and pulled the exact same thing that Carrie did on Sunday: I fell asleep, thinking I would only be taking a short nap, only to awaken when Carrie got home at 5:00.

Her folks came over around 5:30 and we all walked up the road to the house of the lovely people of Wallflower Photography. I really liked them a lot, and I kinda just wanted to hang out with the guy. He seemed really cool. He and I talked geek speak a little bit. Plus he had a giant plasma TV. And awesome cats, one of which thought my right arm tasted incredible. Anyway, as I was saying, I really would love for them to do our wedding, but Carrie is worried about the cost (around $2,000).

Their place was like a block from Enginehouse #9, so we had dinner there. I had a triple-decker club. Let me tell you, eating out with Carrie's mom is a lot like eating out with my grandma. Neither one of them can just order something. They have to put their fingers in the pot or they can't be satisfied.

Then, beleive it or not, Carrie had to actually go back to work! That totally sucked. Gary came over for Rasslin', which was a good episode thanks in most part to Mick Foley, and the fact that HHH jobbed to Orlando Jordan for the second week in a row. Carrie said she might hang out with Viki after work, and so as 10:00 was rolling around I figured, "Oh, she must be out with Viki now." Well, when Carrie got home a few minutes later she explained that, no, she wasn't hanging out; she had been working the whole time. Yikes!

Lovely, stunning, and drop-dead gorgeous

Yesterday (Sunday) Carrie & I walked up to Blockbusters to return The Rundown. Carrie was going to rent another movie, but she found several videos she wanted to see and yet wasn't in the mood to actually rent them. So we left empty-handed. By the time we walked home it was already pretty late, due to that whole "spring forward" thing the clocks did during the night. I did some internet stuff while Carrie decided to take a nap.

Practice that afternoon was a lot of fun. We spent the whole day thinking up how to continue FPRL without Mike Tanner. We came up with a new champion. He's "The Ref," the head referee of the FPRL, who is fed up with all the cheating and so became champion because he never cheats. He doesn't really want to be champion, but until someone can defeat him without cheating (which is impossible in the FPRL) he'll remain the champion. Also, since he's still the head referee, he officiates his own matches. It looks like Ed is probably going to play him, which is cool because The Ref and Dirty Heel have this fantastic automatic chemistry. The Ref is like Dirty Heel's favorite person because Dirty Heel horribly offends The Ref just by existing.

After practice I came home and wrapped gifts with Carrie, who had just woken up minutes before I got home. Yes, that's right, she slept for about five hours during the day. Oh, who were we wrapping presents for? Why, for all the Bead Babes who have birthdays in march, including the lovely Melissa, the stunning Lindsay, and the drop-dead gorgeous Brandy. I got Missa a Tensile Dance camisole, Lindsay some tulips (courtesy of Carrie's trip to the tulip fields on Saturday), and Brandy a year-long subscription to In Style Magazine.

We were gonna have the big BF party at Red Robin, but they couldn't seat 20 people in any reasonable amount of time, so Cucina Cucina and TGI Fridays were called. C/C could get us in in about ten minutes. TGIF said they could seat us immediately. So we went to TGIF and everone opened their gifts (Carrie got Missa a Tensile Dance lunchbox packed with lunch/snack foods, Lindsay a silver bracelet from Santa Fe, and Brandy a Bic Runga CD). It was fun but it took a long, long time for the food and then an even longer time for the bill to arrive. Oh, and Devon was there, which was cool as I hadn't seen him in a while.

Walk walk walk / All day long / Walk walk walk / While I sing this song

Yesterday (Saturday) Carrie went and hung out with her former roommate Christy at the Tulip fields up north, which is an annual tradition with them. So I was left with nothing to do but relax all day. I have some free Blockbuster coupons from e-rewards, so I decided to take a stroll up there and rent something for free.

Well, on the way it got incredibly freakin' hot, so I stopped by The Bead Factory to drop my coat off. Lindsay, Nicole, and Christine were working there, so I chatted with them a bit. Lindsay isn't having any strange preggers cravings yet, except for that every once in a while she craves red meat really bad. But she's not a vegetarian or anything, so that's nothing unusual. Her massage business has started up, which is very sexciting. I told her that if I were making enough money I'd be in there like every week.

Anyway, I kept walking up 6th Avenue, and when I was about a block away from Blockbuster I heard my name being called. I should say that there are so many people in this world named Chris that I don't really hear it when people call out, "Chris!" It's usually for someone else. I happened to look around this time because I was really the only person on the sidewalk, and so I figured there was a small chance that it might actually be for me this time. And sure enough, it was none other than Travis Medak driving by in a beat-up white pickup truck. Hadn't seen him in ages.

I walked around the whole of Blockbusters looking for a good flick to view. There are a ton of movies out that I want to see, but for some reason I wasn't in the mood to see hardly none of them. I didn't want anything too intense or smart or brainy; I just wanted some mindless fun. So eventually I settled on The Rundown. Seemed like good, mindless fun.

I stopped by The Bead Factory on the way home to pick up my jacket again, then settled down with some slices of salami and some granola bars and some Slim Jims and watched The Rundown. It wasn't bad at all. It was actually really funny. It was a bit over-directed, though. I'll write a review of it soon, honest (tee-hee).

I called Geoff to see if he could take me down to Fools Play because Carrie had the 'Yota and I didn't really want to drive the crappy old Ford all the way to Oly and back. He said they were coming down from Seattle and could stop by and grasp me. Neighbor Gary stopped by to pick up his keys (I had been watching Phod while Gary was in Vegas). He also dropped off this completely awesome picture:

Take a close look at "Indiana's" face. Anyway, Geoff & Brandy were late picking me up because they "lost track of time" (i.e., they were too busy making out). We went to Geoff's folks' house to switch cars because Brandy didn't want to drive even though she has the best car out of the three of us. We got into Geoff/Travis's Festiva. I sat in the back, and the floor there was so full of musical equipment that I had to sit sideways. At one point on the way down my left leg started falling asleep, so I had to stick it in the gap between Brandy and Geoff, and Brandy noticed this big-assed bruise on my shin. I have no idea how it got there. It must be from when Carrie beats me.

Fools Play was pretty cool because Carrie, Gary, and Trevor all came to see it, and so did the Weiths, Roland and Pat. And Taisha and Brandy were there too. And all five of the Fools. It was a good, funny show, although my brother was out of control with inappropriate sexual humor. He's been like that on stage a lot recently. I did my annual "peep show" in which I cram dozens of Easter Peeps in my mouth on the pretense of doing a scene. Geoff & I did the Cave Bros., and we "discovered" a bottle of hand/body lotion that ended up all over the curtains and each other. The best part of that was when Geoff poured goops of it in each hand and then we gave each other a double high-five. The resulting explosion of lotion was truly wondrous to behold. We filmed this episode so that Geoff could put some of the footage on his tryout reel for the Circus, so hopefully both that scene and my peep show came out good.

Afterwards it didn't seem like anybody was going to go out or anything, so I hopped into the 'Yota was Carrie & the Crew. We stopped by the Oly Jack in the Box for some late-night cravings. Then the three of us boyz fell right asleep (me because I was crashing from all the sugar in the Peeps, Gary because he was exhausted from just coming back from Vegas, and Trevor because it was past his bedtime). We swung by the store so that Carrie could pick up the deposit money. It was kind of funny she said. It felt creepy going into the store in the middle of the night when it was dark and taking all of the money out of the safe. Not quite kosher.

We dropped the boyz off at their homes and went home and basically were asleep before our heads hit the pillow.

I had a crazy, really long dream about this very strange hotel in Vegas where I was staying with some other people (who might have been my brother, Geoff, Gary, Amy Smart, and a couple of adults I don't know). I ended up naked at several parts during the dream, at one point having to walk all the way across a playfield to collect my clothes, which had been moved. At one point when I was taking a shower in my room someone broke in and stole all of my DVDs and video games and electronic stuff. David Letterman was also filming a show in the hotel across the way, so a whole bunch of us were going over there to watch his show, and somebody had printed out a big (like two feet by two feet) photo of Dave's face to hold up in the audience. At one point we had to climb a strange tower inside another tower to get to a restaurant. It was like that one level of Castlevania 64.

A very strange dream, but at no point was it the least bit unpleasant to me, even when I was naked.

Carrie said I sounded like I was drunk

Friday mornign I got the new class stuff ready for The Bead Factory and uploaded it by 9:00. Usually on class sign-up day I wait around for a while and when classes fill they'll call me and I'll make the appropriate changes to the class. Well, one class filled pretty quickly, but then none others unitl way late in the aprez-noon. Kinda disappointing. Oh, I also re-designed the look of TheBeadFactory.com if you're interested in that sort of thing.

I also happened to stumble upon an online trailer for a movie that could very well be the greatest film ever made. But because it is one guy's pet project that he's been working on for years, it could turn out to be a big-assed crapfest like Barry Levinson's Toys. At any rate, the trailer is pretty fantastic, and can be seen here.

In the aprez-noon Carrie called me and asked me if I could walk on down and bring her a couple of things: a certain female product and also the handout for Lindsay's multi-strand class. Viki wanted to go over it before I actaully made it. It was a nice day out so I thought I'd go sans jacket, but then the wind kicked up and it was all CGNU. On the way back I ran into Chris Husted outside of the Starbucks, so I chatted with him for a short bit.

Then it was bank at Fred Meyer's to deposit my BF check, then over to Bartell's to get my pills. I also bought a water bottle (remind me to wash that so I can actually use it). If I drink two full bottles a day, that'll be my correct amount of water intake. Then I went over and fed the Phod the last of his food. And cleaned up his poo. I was so late feeding him on Thursday that he got kinda pissed and poo-ed in the kitchen (sorry, Zaphod).

Shortly after I got home so did Carrie and Nicole. They had been hanging out some. Carrie made us sammitches while Nicole and I worked on Nicole's taxes. She actually ended up owing $70 because Old Navy totally didn't withold enough money from her paycheck. She made like $7,000 and they only witheld $80! She was a little peeved, but since her parents claimed her as a dependent (and therefore got the $3,000 tax break) she figures they ought to pay for it. I agree.

Then Carrie & I went to the SuperMall so she could look around the Old Navy for cute stuff. I found an awesome tiki shirt with different types of hooch all over it, but I kinda wanted to wait and see if it would go on sale before I got it. Carrie got a couple of cute capris. Then she went to Deb and I went to Banana Republic. I found some T-shirts there that I liked, but the service was wholly unhelpful and I eventually ended up just leaving. I met Carrie at Deb where she bought some cute shirts. Oh, did I mention that I paid for all of this? Oh, yeah. Oops!

Carrie dropped me off at the Lakewood 15 theatres before heading home so as I could see Hellboy with (from left to right) Ed, Paul & Lisa (some of Geoff's kung fu buddies), me, Brandy, and Geoff. I'm actually going to write a review of Hellboy this weekend (my first review in many months), so look for that. Short review: it wasn't quite as good as I had hoped it would be. But still enjoyable. People in the theater would just not shut up, though. At one point Ed turned to a couple of people behind him and smiled and said, "I love to hear you talk!" And then he realized, "Oh, shit, these guys could break me in half without even trying." Luckily we had three kung fu people in our party. Paul was actually hoping that they would be waiting for Ed outside to try to jump him, so that he could kick their asses. As he put it, "I haven't been in a fight since I learned how to fight!" Very funny.

Brandy drove me home after the film on account of it was after midnight and Carrie was sound asleep. We had a nice time talking on the drive from the theater. I was so wired when I got home (I think I had too much Diet Coke during the day) that Carrie said I sounded like I was drunk, so I ate a leftover pork chop that Carrie had made and took my meds and eventually fell asleep.

Shot to the head !

Yesterday (Thursday) I had lunch at Fujiya's with Ed, Geoff, Brandy, and Yanette. I'd never been there before, and so didn't know they made their rainbow rolls with avacado. Oops! After lunch (which Yanette paid for, by the way) Geoff & I came back here and I took many photographs of him for to make a headshot so he can run off and join the circus. I really like the way it came out:

Then the twain of us drove down to south Tacoma and met with Jonathan C. Griffin so as John could give Geoff a camera with which we can film Fools Play this weekend. Then Geoff dropped me back off at home.

I was gonna cook pork chops for dinner, but instead Carrie called and said we were going over to Dylan's for dinner with Geoff, Christine, Brandy, and Dylan (of course). Christine cooked this yummy creamy chicken sauce pasta thing. Dylan demonstrated some ninja sword stuff. Afterwards everyone except Carrie watched Signs on DVD. In retrospect I should have gone home with Carrie; I felt so much like an odd man out with Dylan/Christine on one side of me and Brandy/Geoff on the other, and me without anyone right in the middle. That part wasn't too much fun. Odd man out is the feeling I enjoy having the least out of all of them, and it seems to be happening a lot to me recently. Carrie showed up to pick me back up approximatley 30 seconds after the movie ended, which was freakin' great timing.

I'm skipping today.

You know, I had planned to re-start daily blogging in the beginnign of April, but I just realized that today is April Fool's Day, so it would probably be a bad idea to start now because y'all would think that anything I said would be a lie. I'll start tomorrow.

I've heard it a thousand times.

And tomorrow never comes.

It's not your fault; you're not alone.
