For Your Wednesday Listening Pleasure: “What Did You Find Out?” by Warren Dunes

Is that a rhetorical question…?

Is that a rhetorical question…?

Warren Dunes had a show last week in Seattle where they released… a new single, not a new album. Alas, we’ll have to wait until 2019 until a full album graces our ears. In the meantime, here’s the single they released: “What Did You Find Out?” (LIVE at Hoot House Recording). Listen and enjoy!

Now you have enjoyed! A congratulations has happening for you!

For Your Wednesday Listening Pleasure: “Annika” by Björn Olsson

Just relax, there's nothing wrong with this house…

Just relax, there’s nothing wrong with this house…

Time to take a break and relax for a couple of minutes with some excellent whistling.

Don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with this random cabin that you’ve stumbled upon in the woods. Just relax and enjoy.

For Your Wednesday Listening Pleasure: “Running for Cover” by Warren Dunes

Freaky Outie…

Freaky Outie…

Hey. Listen. LISTEN! I know that this very song was my Wednesday Listening Pleasure back in March. But Warren Dunes didn’t have a music video for the song back then! Also, they especially did not have a music video that was directed by my good friend (and non-incidentally bandmate in The Crazy Boy Floyds and retired Yellow Fool in Fools Play Improv) Geoff Gibbs. HERE IT IS (I bet you didn’t think I’d actually show it to you after that, but whysoever would you think that, you should know me better). Partake and enjoy!

Whoa.

For Your Wednesday Listening Pleasure: “40 Days” by Conan O’Brien & The Basic Cable Band

The end of an era…

The end of an era…

Last week was the final episode of Conan O’Brien’s late-night show as we know it. Come next year, he’ll be launching a brand-new show with a brand-new format. There are some things about this change that are very exciting! But one thing that’s not so exciting: his new show will not have a house band.

So for their final episode, Conan O’Brien let Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band tear up the place. Here, partake and enjoy for the last time:

I watched the very first episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien back in 1993 when it was the Max Weinberg 7, and I’ve been with these guys ever since. It is sad to see them go.
